Meet the Everblades at Jason's Deli on October 18!

ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades in conjunction with partner Jason’s Deli announced today a fun and charitable event called “Dinner with the Blades” which will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Jason’s Deli located just off Alico Road across from Gulf Coast Town Center.  The entire Everblades team will be on hand to mingle with fans and serve food, while helping to benefit The PACE Center for Girls, Lee County.

“We couldn’t be happier to team up with Jason’s Deli for this event and for the upcoming season,” said Everblades Vice President of Business Development Chris Palin. “Both the Everblades and Jason’s Deli are committed to giving back to our community.  The opportunity to put together a fun event involving our players and fans while helping out a charitable cause, makes for a great fit for all parties involved,”

Proceeds from the event will benefit The PACE Center for Girls, Lee County which provides girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training and advocacy. The PACE Center values all girls and young women, believing each one deserves an opportunity to find her voice, achieve her potential and celebrate a life defined by responsibility, dignity, serenity and grace.

“Jason's Deli is excited to partner with the Florida Everblades to support our local Pace Center for Girls of Lee County,” said Jason’s Deli owner Diana Willis. “It's a great way for the community to gear up for a successful Everblades season, meet the team and enjoy some fun with our philanthropy.  Swampee will be there too!”

The event is free, and open to the public, and serves as a great opportunity to meet the Everblades players who will also be available for autographs.  Everblades’ mascotSwampee will be on hand as well. There will be numerous giveaways throughout the evening for those in attendance.

The event will take place at the Jason’s Deli located at 16451 Corporate Commerce Way, Fort Myers.

-------Opening Weekend October 14 & 15!  The Florida Everblades open up their 19th season of hockey at home at Germain Arena on Friday, October 14 against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits beginning at 7:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans will receive a free Everblades magnet schedule courtesy of Jack's Cleaning. Fans are encouraged to wear white for our "white out" theme. The two teams will meet again on Saturday, October 15 with a 7:00 p.m. start time.
