ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush announced Friday that defenseman and Fort Myers native Logan Roe has agreed to terms with the team for the 2016-17 season.
Roe, 24, returns after registering 16 points (2g, 14a) with a plus-23 rating in 58 games played during his rookie season with the Everblades in 2015-16. In addition, Roe went scoreless in his three appearances with the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League last spring.
“Logan had a very good rookie campaign with us last season,” said Brush. “We are looking forward to watching him continue his development in the upcoming year.”
Prior to joining the Everblades, the 6-4, 206-pound blueliner recorded 25 points (1g, 24a) during his four-year collegiate career with Canisius College. Roe is a product of the Junior Everblades Association’s youth hockey program.
“I am really grateful and excited that the club wanted me back this year,” said Roe. “Players are treated very well here, and with the location being so close to home for me the decision to return was easy. I am excited to get the season started and develop my game even more this coming year.”
Roe becomes the second player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2016-17 season. The team added forward Mike Aviani earlier this week. On Thursday, the ‘Blades acquired forward Peter Schneider and defenseman Kevin Clare in a trade with the Indy Fuel.
