About Tonight’s Game: After taking two of three games at home last week in Wheeling, West Virginia, the Nailers can wrap up the series tonight with a win.  Meanwhile the Everblades will be looking to force a decisive Game 7 at Germain Arena on Wednesday. After falling in back-to-back games, Florida will look to avoid dropping its third straight game for the first time all season.  The winner of this series will advance to play the winner of the series featuring the Toledo Walleye and the Reading Royals who play a winner-take-all Game 7 on Tuesday.

About Saturday’s Game 5:  Wheeling raced out to a 4-0 lead early in the second period, but a goal by Matt Marquardt at the 12:00 mark of the second period seemed to give the Everblades a much needed spark. Florida grabbed two more markers in the third from Jon DiSalvatore and Ethan Werek to pull within one.  However, the Nailers held off Florida’s furious comeback bid to take the game 4-3 and assume a 3-2 lead in the series.

About the Everblades:  Matt Willows leads the Everblades with six points (2g, 4a).  Matt Marquardt, Ryan Martindale, and Brendan O’Donnell each have three goals in the series….Defenseman Danny New has been very productive in the series, but had his four-game point streak snapped in Saturday’s loss.

About the Nailers:  Riley Brace leads all players in scoring in the Kelly Cup Playoffs with ten points (4g, 6a)…Reigning ECHL Defenseman of the Year Matthew Maione has recorded two three-point games in the series, and currently leads all defensemen in postseason scoring (8 points)…The Nailers have outscored the Everblades 8-2 in the first period in the series.
