The Everblades hold a slim two-point lead for the top spot in the South Division and are trying to fend off second place South Carolina (70 pts).  Toledo sits a little more comfortably in the North Division holding an 18-point lead over second place Wheeling.  The Walleye are winners of five straight games and are bidding for the top spot overall in the Eastern Conference.  This week’s home slate will feature two of the top defensive teams in the league as the Everblades are third in the league with a 2.35 goals against per game, while Toledo is tied for fourth in the ECHL at 2.43 goals per contest played.Last Time Out: Kevin Lynch broke up a scoreless game with five minutes remaining in regulation, while Anthony Peters earned his third shutout of the season to lead the Everblades to 2-0 win over South Carolina on Sunday….Toledo picked up a 2-1 home win over the Indy Fuel on Sunday.  A.J. Jenks & Josh Shalla posted goals.

About the Everblades: Kevin Lynch leads the ‘Blades with six-game-winning goals this season, which is tied for third most in the ECHL…The Everblades have allowed a total of 32 shots against in the last two games.  On Saturday the ‘Blades limited South Carolina to a season best 17 shots against, only to beat that mark the following day on Sunday holding the Stingrays to just 15 shots against…. Anthony Peters is expected to start in goal this evening.

About the Walleye:  Shane Berschbach leads the Walleye in points (56) goals (22) and assists (34)…Former Everblade A.J. Jenks is second on the team with 21 goals… Toledo’s roster also features two other former Everblades in defensemen Beau Schmitz and Joe Sova...The Walleye have found plenty of success when scoring first this season. Toledo is an impressive 24-3-2 when recording the game’s first goal.
