The Everblades fell behind early as the Swamp Rabbits scored two goals in the opening period, however, the Everblades answered with three goals of their own in the second period to take the lead 3-2.  The Everblades then scored an empty netter in the third taking home the victory and extending their unbeaten streak to nine games (8-0-0-1).

Saturday, January 30: Florida – 1 vs. Greenville – 2Andrew Dommett and Joe Houk of the Swamp Rabbits scored second period tallies to defeat the Everblades 2-1, ending the Everblades’ unbeaten streak at nine games. The Everblades jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a Jon DiSalvatore goal three minutes into the game. However, it was all Swamp Rabbits from there.‘Blades Bites

Atlanta Gladiators (25-17-2-1, 53 pts)  Friday (Feb. 5), 7:35 p.m. The top two teams in the South Division will square off on Friday at Infinite Energy Arena when the Everblades travel to Duluth, Georgia to take on the Gladiators.  The Gladiators have hit a rough patch in the last couple of weeks and are winless in their last five games (0-4-0-1). The Gladiators roster features the ECHL's leading goal scorer in Derek Nesbitt who has recorded 22 goals this season.  Also on the roster is former Everblades goaltender Matt Ginn, who posted a 5-1-1 record in seven appearances with the 'Blades last spring.

South Carolina Stingrays (22-13-3-2, 49 pts)  Saturday (Feb. 6) 7:05 p.m. After a difficult 8-2 set back to the Norfolk Admirals on Friday, the Stingrays got back to their winning ways on Saturday, returning the favor by defeating the Admirals 6-1.  This Saturday, the Everblades will close out their quick weekend road trip at the North Charleston Coliseum. Florida will have to deal with one of the hottest scoring players in the league in forward David Pacan.  Pacan enters the week riding a six-game point streak, recording nine points (5g, 4a) during this stretch.
