Defenseman Tyler Ganly Recalled to AHL Charlotte

ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Wednesday that defenseman Tyler Ganly has been recalled to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Ganly, 22, returns to the Checkers after logging an assist and two penalty minutes in 15 games with the Everblades.  Ganly has recorded an assist with a +1 rating in six appearances with Charlotte this season.

The 6-2, 204-pound rookie blueliner totaled 54 career points (5g, 49a) during his three seasons with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL).

The Mississauga, Ontario native was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the sixth-round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The Everblades return to action on Friday (Jan. 22) when they play host to the Orlando Solar Bears at Germain Arena in another Wawa Sunshine Cup Series matchup. Promotional details listed below.

Sunday, January 24,  Everblades Charity Golf Tournament!  the Florida Everblades will host a full-team appearance golf classic at the Forest Country Club in Fort Myers this Sunday.  Proceeds support "For the Kids Foundation" and its efforts in bringing joyful elements and healing through laughter to patients at Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida. Everblades players and former Major League Baseball star and Champion Derek Lowe will be participating. The community can register to play in the golf classic via a donation of $150 or attend just the dinner and auction portion for $50 by calling 239-707-8738.
