The Royals currently sit in fourth place in the East Division.About Wednesday’s Game: The Royals took a 2-0 lead into the third period, but Matt Marquardt scored twice in the final stanza of regulation to send the game to overtime.  Despite some chances from both sides, neither team could light the lamp in the extra session to send the game to be decided in the shootout.  Ryan Martindale’s goal in the sixth round of the shootout sealed the 3-2 victory for the Everblades.  Daniel Altshuller earned the win making 26 saves.

About the Everblades:  Rookie forward Matt Willows remains as the team’s leading scorer with 25 points.  Willows had a six-game point streak snapped on Wednesday. The streak began back on November 30, and is the longest point streak on the team this season. Marquardt’s two-goal performance marked the 11th time this season an Everblades player has scored two goals in a game:  Matt Willows (3 times), Mike Aviani (twice), Brant Harris (twice), Ethan Werek (twice), and Marquardt (twice)....Anthony Peters is expected to start in goal tonight.
