ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that the team has agreed to terms with forward Spencer Pommells. (photo courtesy of University of Windsor Athletics)Pommells, 25, joins the Everblades from the University of Windsor where he led the entire Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) in scoring with 50 points (16g, 34a) in 27 games played this season. The 5-10, 175-pound forward was recently named the CIS Men’s Hockey Player of the Year. In addition, Pommells was named a first-team all-Canadian and an OUA West Division first-team all-star.The Grand Prairie, Alberta native totaled 140 points (43g, 87a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Lancers from 2011-2015.Pommells played two seasons with the St. Albert Steel (AJHL) from 2009-2011 registering 96 points in 99 games played.Pommells is expected to be available on Wednesday when the Everblades open up a seven-game road trip that begins in Orlando against the Solar Bears. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
