ESTERO, FL - The Florida Everblades announced today the details of Pink in the Rink Weekend, which takes place this Friday and Saturday (Feb. 27 & 28) when the Everblades play host to the South Carolina Stingrays at Germain Arena.  Pink in the Rink Weekend is presented by Radiology Regional Center, and is intended to help boost breast cancer awareness and prevention.

The Everblades will wear special Pink in the Rink jerseys which will be worn by the team on Friday and Saturday. The pink themed jerseys (pictured above) will be auctioned off following Saturday’s game with the proceeds from the auction benefiting local cancer charities.

“Radiology Regional Center is proud to be the title sponsor of the Florida Everblades signature Breast Cancer Awareness event, “Pink in The Rink,” said Shawn Elliot, the Director of Business Development for Radiology Regional Center. “We value our long time partnership with the Everblades and the commitment that they have made to this cause. A portion of the night’s proceeds will be donated to Senior Friendship Centers, an organization doing great work right here in our very own community. They will use the resources to assist patients needing screening mammography, as well as additional work up. We truly appreciate the communities support in helping Radiology Regional Center and the Florida Everblades make this a successful event.”

Friday's game begins at 7:30 p.m. while Saturday’s game starts at 7:00 p.m. Prior to Saturday's game, the McDonald's Tailgate Party kicks off with live music, bounces houses, and face painting for the kids!

In addition, the state of the art Mobile Mammogram truck will be on hand in the parking lot to provide screenings prior to Saturday’s game from 5-7 p.m. Those interested must register ahead of time by calling 239-936-4068.
