Adam Brace Returns to 'Blades for 2014-15 Season

ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Monday that the team has agreed to terms with forward Adam Brace for the 2014-15 season.

Brace, 26, returns to the Everblades after spending time in both the American Hockey League (AHL) and ECHL last season.  Brace recorded eights points in 12 AHL games played with the Charlotte Checkers (6 points. in 10 games) and the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (2 points in 2 games).  In addition, the 5-10, 183-pound forward registered 34 points in 49 ECHL games split with the Stockton Thunder (13 points. in 18 games) and the Cincinnati Cyclones (21 points in 31 games).

Brace began his pro career with the Everblades in the spring of 2013 logging six points (1g, 5a) in just four games.  Brace went on to lead the ‘Blades in the 2013 Kelly Cup Playoffs with 15 points (6g, 9a) in 13 appearances.

“We saw Adam’s value in the playoffs two years ago, as he led our team in scoring,” said Everblades Head Coach Greg Poss. “He is a very good offensive winger, who is responsible defensively. He is also very good playing the point on the power play.”

The Cobden, Ontario native accumulated 92 points (40g, 52a) during his three seasons at Robert Morris University from 2010-13. During the 2008-09 season, he posted 23 points (6g, 17a) in 33 appearances at Canisius College.

Brace becomes the fifteenth player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2014-15 season. He joins forwards Mitch Wahl, Chris Kushneriuk, Kyle Stroh, Alex Lavoie, Mike Cichy, Mike Silengo, Evan Bloodoff, Jason Wilson, Kevin Lynch and defensemen Mike Little, Jordan Henry, Tyson Gimblett, Cameron Burt, and Kevin Hart.

The Everblades open the 2014-15 season on Friday, October 17 against the South Carolina Stingrays.
