ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Kevin Hart for the 2014-15 season.
Hart, 22, joins the Everblades after posting nine points (3g, 6a), with a +2 rating and 28 penalty minutes in 38 games played with Providence College last season. The 6-1, 195-pound blue liner totaled 34 points (8g, 26a) during his four-year collegiate career with the Friars from 2010-14.
“Kevin was a solid 2-way defenseman at ProvidenceCollege,” said Everblades Head Coach Greg Poss. “We expect big things from him during his first professional season.”
The Cumberland, Maine native becomes the third player to agree to terms with the Everblades for the 2014-15 season. Forward Mitch Wahl and defenseman Mike Little agreed to terms with Florida for next season.
The Everblades open the 2014-15 season on Friday, October 17 against the South Carolina Stingrays.
