- ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced today that forward Max Parent has been reassigned to the team from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League. In addition, goaltender Mac Carruth has been reassigned to the Rockford IceHogs (AHL) by the Chicago Blackhawks (NHL).
Parent, 26, rejoins the Everblades where he has recorded a goal and ten penalty minutes in six games played this season. The 6-1, 206-pound forward has posted nine points (2g, 7a) and 28 penalty minutes in 36 appearances with Syracuse (AHL) this season.
Parent scored three points in three appearances with the Everblades last season. The Montreal, Quebec native totaled 75 points (26g, 49a) during his four-year collegiate career at McGill University (CIS) from 2008-2012.
Carruth, 22, returns to the Rockford where he posted a 2-2-1 record, a 3.36 goals against average, and a .874 saver percentage. The Shorewood, Minnesota native registered a 2-4-1 record with the Everblades this season.
The Everblades return to action on Saturday at Germain Arena to battle the South Carolina Stingrays. Game time is set at 7:00 p.m. Join us at 5:00 p.m. for the McDonald’s Tailgate Party featuring live music and bounce houses for the kids! The two teams will meet again on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.
