Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Thursday that defenseman Mike Cornell has been reassigned to the club from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League.
Cornell, 25, started the season with the Blades, appearing in 12 contests with a goal and five assists to go with a plus-10 rating.
The Franklin, Mass., native then compiled 10 points (4g, 6a) in 35 games with the Sound Tigers to go along with 78 penalty minutes.
He will be available when the Blades continue their three-game home series Friday at 7:30pm against the Fort Wayne Komets at Germain Arena. The Blades topped the Komets 4-1 Wednesday in the series opener.
Tickets are now on sale at the Capital Bank Box Office, open 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Friday’s rematch will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 7:15pm.
