Estero, FL – Embroiled in a furious playoff chase that separates the two sides by just one point in the Eastern Conference standings, the Florida Everblades continue their three-game series at Germain Arena against the Fort Wayne Komets Friday at 7:30pm.

In the first game of the set, the Blades got two goals from both Jordan Henry and A.J. Jenks to pull away for a 4-1 victory.

Jenks and linemate Philip-Michael Devos have combined for four goals and four assists in the last two games.

Just as important for the Blades has been the reemergence of the defense: after giving up four or more goals in 10 of 11 games dating back to January 17, Florida has allowed just two goals in regulation over their last three contests.

Wednesday’s setback represents just the second regulation loss in the last 11 games for the Komets, who remain tied for seventh in the east with Greenville thanks to their January-February surge.

Fort Wayne’s attack is paced by center Brandon Marino, who leads the ECHL in points (65) and assists (44) and is tied for fourth in goals (21). Chris Auger’s 23 goals are the second-most in the league behind Orlando’s Mickey Lang (29).

Tickets are now on sale at the Capital Bank Box Office, open 10:00am-6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Friday’s interdivision rematch will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com.
