Estero, FL – Florida Everblades president Craig Brush, along with head coach Greg Poss, announced Friday that the team has agreed to contract terms with goaltender Matt Zenzola.
Zenzola, 20, comes to the Blades by way of the Louisiana IceGators in the SPHL. In 11 appearances with the IceGators, the San Diego, Cali., native posted a 9-1-1 record with a 2.48 GAA and a .920 SV%.
Standing at 6’5”, Zenzola will be the tallest player on the Florida roster. He will be available for the Blades starting with Friday’s home contest.
The Blades return home Friday to open a two-game set with the Colorado Eagles at Germain Arena with a 7:30pm interconference dustup.
Friday’s contest will be broadcast live online at FloridaEverblades.com and on the Everblades’ app for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, with a video webcast available through America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
