Estero, FL – The Florida Everblades are back on the road Thursday for the first of three games in three nights against the Orlando Solar Bears, starting at 7:00pm at the Amway Center. Thursday’s contest will be the sole away date of the three.
Thanks to a 2-1-0-0 road trip to Gwinnett and South Carolina last weekend, Florida comes into Thursday’s game one point out of first place in the South Division behind the idle Stingrays.
Matthew Pistilli paces the Blades’ offensive attack with a league-best 11 goals while netminder Kristers Gudlevskis leads all ECHL rookies with a 1.81 GAA.
On the other side, Orlando comes in red hot, having won five of their last six games to pull into a tie for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.
Former Everblades forward David Rutherford has helped pace Orlando’s torrid November, contributing four goals in five games since November 10.
Following Thursday’s game, the Blades will turn around and host the Bears both Friday and Saturday nights at Germain Arena.
Thursday’s intrastate rumble will be broadcast locally on 98.1 FM The Island and worldwide online on America ONE, the official broadband and mobile broadcaster of the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 6:45pm.
