Las Vegas, NV – It will be a rematch of the 2012 Kelly Cup Finals as the Florida Everblades wrap up their four-game West Coast road trip with a 10:05pm EST showdown with the Las Vegas Wranglers at Orleans Arena.
The last time these two teams met, Brandon MacLean scored in overtime of Game Five of the Finals at Germain Arena to deliver the Blades their first-ever Kelly Cup with a 4-1 series victory.
Now the Blades return to Orleans Arena looking to extend their league-high five-game winning streak against the Wranglers, who dropped three straight to the visiting Alaska Aces over the weekend.
Matthew Pistilli leads the Blades with nine points (5g, 4a)—good for second league-wide—and is fresh off a three goal, two assist weekend that earned him a runner-up nod for the ECHL Player of the Week award. Goalie Jesse Deckert was honorable mention for Goalie of the Week following a 3-0-0-0 weekend against the Ontario Reign and Bakersfield Condors.
Carlo Finucci leads Las Vegas in both points (1g, 5a) and plus/minus (+3) but Chris Francis (3g) and Greg Coburn (2g) are the only Wranglers with multiple goals thus far in 2013-14.
Tuesday’s Kelly Cup rematch will be broadcast locally on FOX Sports Radio 1350 AM and worldwide online on America ONE, the official internet television provider for the ECHL, at www.americaonesports.com. Pregame coverage will get under way at 9:50pm.
