ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades and Germain Arena announced Friday that the Tampa Bay Lightning will play host to the Florida Panthers in a NHL preseason game at Germain Arena on Thursday, September 26 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The Tampa Bay Lightning released the team's seven-game preseason schedule on Friday. The Lightning will also be conducting training camp practices in Estero at Germain Arena from Monday, Sept 23 thru Saturday, Sept. 28.
This will mark the fifth time in Lightning team history the team will play a preseason game at Germain Arena. TampaBay is 0-3-1 all-time at Germain Arena. The most recent preseason contest in Estero took place on September 24, 2002 in a 3-3 tie with the Carolina Hurricanes.
Ticket information for the preseason game will be announced at a later date.
The Florida Everblades are the ECHL affiliate of the Tampa Bay Lightning and Carolina Hurricanes.
