ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades announced Saturday that defenseman Charles Landry has been recalled by the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League.
Landry has registered seven points (1g, 6a) in 16 games played with the Everblades this season. The 6-0, 190-pound blue liner totaled nine points in 36 games with Florida last season. Landry was a member of the Everblades Kelly Cup Championship team last spring, appearing in nine games logging a goal and two assists.
The Napierville, Quebec native also posted six assists in 23 appearances last year with the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey league.
Landry accumulated 96 points (22g, 74a) during his four year career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League split between Drummondville (2007-10) and Montreal (2010-11). Landry was a member of Drummondville’s championship team in 2009-09. The team was coached by current Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach Guy Boucher.

Florida’s next home game is on Friday, November 30 against Greenville. The two teams will meet again on Saturday, December 1, which is the annual IBERIABANK Teddy Bear Toss game. Bring a stuffed animal to throw onto the ice after the Blades score their first goal. All of the stuffed animals will be rounded-up and distributed to local children’s charities.
