ESTERO, FL – The Florida Everblades unveiled their military themed jerseys for this weekend’s games on Friday and Saturday. The jersey's were unveiled at a press conference Wednesday afternoon in the Olde Florida Room at Germain Arena. The team also announced its promotions for the upcoming weekend as well.
This year’s military jerseys (photo attached) feature a patriotic red, white, and blue color scheme. The American flag is watermarked in grey behind the Everblades tradition logo which is featured in red. There are stars along the sleeves, blue name plates with white lettering, and red numbers outlined in blue.
The jerseys will be worn by the Everblades during Friday night’s Military Night/Veterans Day game against the Elmira Jackals which begins at 7:30 p.m. The jerseys will also be worn during Saturday’s game against Gwinnett which is slated for a 7:00 p.m. start.
Following Saturday’s game, the jerseys will be auctioned off with all of the proceeds going to the National Coalition for Patriots. National Coalition for Patriots is a national organization which was founded and based in Southwest Florida. The organization is determined to help our veterans by reaching out to the community to offer financial, emotional, and social assistance to veterans. The team also announced a special discount for Friday’s Military/Veterans night game. All military personnel will receive a discounted $10 endzone ticket when they present their military I.D. to the Capital Bank Box Office prior to the game. In addition, veterans will be recognized throughout Friday’s contest.
On Saturday, the fun starts at 5:00 p.m. with the McDonald’s Tailgate Party. There will be live country/classic rock music from Doug Luther, as well as bounce houses and face painting for the kids. Saturday is also Swampee’s Birthday Bash, and many of his mascot friends will be on hand. The live military jersey auction will take place following the game.
