ESTERO, FL – Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Monday that goaltender Callum Booth has been reassigned by the Carolina Hurricanes (NHL) to the Charlotte Checkers of the American Hockey League (AHL).  As a result, the Everblades have agreed to terms with goaltender Tyler Parks (pictured above).

Booth, 20, has posted a 16-6-2 record, with one shutout, a 2.46 goals-against-average and a 0.908 save percentage with the Everblades this season. Booth went 0-1-0 with a 2.66 a GAA and a .900 save percentage during his AHL call up with Charlotte last month.  The 6-3, 187-pound rookie netminder was selected by the Carolina Hurricanes in the fourth-round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The Montreal, QC native played four seasons split between the Quebec Remparts and Saint John Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) from 2013-2017.

Parks, 25, rejoins the Everblades where he made 37 saves in one appearance at Tulsa back on February 17, before being traded to the Tulsa Oilers two days later.  Prior to his stint with Florida and Tulsa, Parks served as one of the top goaltenders in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) boasting a 10-3-1 record with one shutout, a 2.64 goals-against-average and a 0.918 save-percentage with the Peoria Rivermen this season.  The 6-7, 215-pound netminder has also made one appearance with the Reading Royals (ECHL) this season as well

The Everblades will now conclude their road swing this Thursday night as they head to the Amway Center to take on the Wawa Sunshine Cup rival Orlando Solar Bears. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Fans can catch the game broadcast on WJBX News, Talk & More on 101.5-FM.104.3-FM, 770-AM or by CLICKING HERE.
