About Tonight’s Game: The top two teams in the South Division will meet in a rubber match this evening. South Carolina took the first game on the week with a 4-2 victory on Wednesday, while the Everblades used a late goal last night to walk away with a tight 4-3 decision.  The win by Florida snapped a five-game winning streak by the Stingrays, as the ‘Blades reclaim a seven-point edge over the Rays for the top spot in the division.

About the Everblades: Forward Michael Kirkpatrick leads the Everblades in scoring with 29 points, while sharing the team lead in goals with 12.  On Friday, Kirkpatrick scored twice, including a dazzling game-winner with 2:20 remaining in regulation to give Florida the 4-3 victory.  Kirkpatrick’s game-winner on Friday was featured this morning as the #9 play on SportsCenter’s Top 10 Plays of the Day… Forward Justin Kea also has the hot hand as of late. Kea recorded another goal last night, extending his goal scoring streak to a season high four games.
