‘Blades Bolster Blue Line with the Addition of Clark Seymour

August 10, 2017

STERO, FL –  Florida Everblades President & General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Brad Ralph announced Thursday that defenseman Clark Seymour has agreed to terms with the team for the 2017-18 season.

Seymour, 24, joins the Everblades after recording 19 points (1g, 18a) in 52 games played with Bolzano HC (Austria) last season.   From 2014-2016, the 6-4, 216-pound blueliner registered 37 points (10g, 27a) in 92 appearances with the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).  During that same stretch, Seymour also logged seven points (3g, 4a) in 29 games played with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins (AHL).

“Clark is a big, tough, high-character defenseman that plays in all situations,” said Ralph. “He also brings a tremendous amount of experience that will help us play deep into the Kelly Cup Playoffs.  Clark’s confidence, along with his leadership both on and off the ice, will be valuable assets to our organization.”

Prior to his professional career, Seymour played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) split between the Kingston Frontenacs and the Peterborough Petes (2009-2014).  The Brockville, Ontario native was a fifth-round draft selection of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Seymour becomes the seventh addition to the team’s roster for the 2017-18 season.  To view the current roster CLICK HERE
